Balasa, Alexandra
Alexandra Balasa is a Romanian-Canadian writer and instructor who has just graduated with her PhD in literature from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her dissertation is a collection of psychologically-oriented short stories accompanied by a theoretical book titled LIMINAL BODIES: THE GRAND NARRATIVES OF MYTH, MAGIC, RELIGION, AND SCIENCE IN THE EVOLUTION OF SPECULATIVE LITERATURE. Alex has been a writer and editor for The Spectatorial, the University of Toronto's only speculative fiction magazine, as well as the Fiction and Assistant Editor for Reunion: The Dallas Review. Working and studying in Toronto, Edinburgh, and Dallas has given Alex the opportunity to collaborate with prolific writers and literary agents. Her work has appeared in magazines such as PodCastle, Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores, Deep Magic, and James Gunn's Ad Astra. Alex's greatest achievement is playing Magic: The Gathering with Brandon Sanderson one time.

Barbara A. Barnett is a writer, musician, orchestra librarian, Odyssey Writing Workshop graduate, coffee addict, wine lover, and all-around geek. Her short fiction has appeared in publications such as Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show, Daily Science Fiction, and Flash Fiction Online. Bovenmyer, Karen
Karen Bovenmyer earned an MFA in Creative Writing: Popular Fiction from the University of Southern Maine. She teaches and mentors students at Iowa State University. She is the 2016 recipient of the Horror Writers Association Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Scholarship. Warren Brown is a dual Canadian/American citizen and currently lives and writes fiction and poetry in Tulsa OK. He has published fiction in OMNI, F&SF, Amazing, The Book of All Flesh (with Lana Brown) and other venues, and poetry in This Land, Nimrod, Dear Leader Tales, Speculative North, Smoke in the Stars, etc. His novel, What Happened in Fool the Eye is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites.
